1. I haven't been able to try the Mac version, so I can't compare to that version. Since Lightroom has similarity to Bridge and Camera Raw, I will say that the thumbnail generation and background updating of Lightroom seems significantly slower than Bridge, and that the both the slide controls and image update seem slower in the "Develop" mode.

I've had Lightroom crash once and go into mode that rendered the system useless (so slow I couldn't shut down Lightroom using Task Manager).

Performance isn't a strong point for Lightroom at this stage. I'll be interested to hear from folks who have worked with Lightroom on both platforms.

3. It crash when I tried to import my photos. After which it cannot start again.

A pop-up windows says.
Adobe Lightroom has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Unistall and reinstall.

It displayed the photo library for about 3 seconds and pop up the same window screen.

I am disappointed I can't use this ... guess I will be stuck with Picasa II

4. Have not tried this on a mac, but it is sometimes slow on my pc (4 Opteron 265 cores on a Tyan K8WE board, 4GB RAM, SCSI & SATA HDD's) just to process enlarged images (loupe). Processing images to TIFF or JPEG is not slow. but i have had several crashes and its a crapshoot whenever i click on a thumbnail to see a larger view of if it will work at normal speed, slow as hell or not at all (continuously says one operation in progress)

5. I am using the 3rd beta, it crashes for me when trying to import photos using File/Import, but seems to work when I drag a folder of photos into the workspace from Windows Explorer
